Member Services Field Representative (Travel Required)

At the Texas County & District Retirement System (TCDRS), we help more than 360,000 Texans plan for their future by providing retirement, disability and survivor benefits. TCDRS is one of the best-funded retirement systems in the nation. Located behind Zilker Park in Austin, Texas, this position is hybrid and requires approximately 50% travel, as well as offering flexibility to work partially remotely based on organizational and team needs.

How you’ll contribute

Conduct webinars and on-site presentations to educate and communicate with our members

Provide individual retirement benefit counseling both virtually and in-person

Work closely with employer contacts while developing and maintaining professional relationships to arrange efficient site visits and maximize resources

Travel by car and plane with frequent overnight stays. This position provides both in-person and virtual services, requiring approximately 50% travel
What you should have
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Three or more years of experience in teaching, sales, training or public speaking

Prefer experience in health, life or disability insurance, retirement plans or other employee benefits

Outstanding speaking and presentation skills, outgoing personality and ability to relate quickly to diverse audiences

Interpersonal skills necessary to listen empathetically, deal effectively and professionally while conveying courtesy, enthusiasm, patience and confidence with all customers

Advanced analytical, written and verbal skills

Advanced skills in Windows-based technology systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Experience using virtual platforms for presentations, such as Zoom, GoToWebinar and Microsoft Teams
