The Human Resources Generalist I is an entry-level position that serves a vital role in managing the day-to-day administrative functions of the HR department. This position provides essential support to the Director of Human Resources and the Chief People Officer, ensuring efficient operations and effective HR practices. This position works at least 50% in the office.
What you’ll do

Oversee the collection and management of confidential personnel records

Maintain employee data in ADP and benefit provider systems (TPA, ERS, MetLife); act as liaison between benefit providers and the organization

Collaborate with the TCDRS accounting team to ensure accurate payroll and benefits records for bi-weekly payroll cycles

Support the recruitment process by managing administrative tasks; schedule phone screens and interviews; coordinate pre-boarding logistics for new hires; assist with benefit training sessions for new employees

Review and process Bridge and TMERP claims for eligible expenses; manage claims bi-weekly and generate reports for management review

Assist in the logistics of company-wide appreciation initiatives and Experience Team meetings and events

Initiate physical and network security rights for temporary employees and contractors

Update and manage the HR internal SharePoint site; maintain organizational charts and update departmental procedures as needed

Assist in special projects as needed
What you should have

2 years of administrative support experience

Ability to think critically and follow workflow processes

Maintain high standards for accuracy and confidentiality

Effective interpersonal and communication skills with individuals and groups at all levels

Strong writing skills

Ability to work alone and in collaboration

Experience with ADP, ERS, Microsoft Outlook, or Microsoft Excel is a plus
