Introducing the House Committees
Earlier this session, Dustin Burrows of Lubbock County was elected Speaker of the House by his colleagues. As part of his duties, Speaker Burrows is responsible for determining the composition and membership of each standing committee of the House. While every committee is important, the two committees with jurisdiction over the issues that are most pertinent to TCDRS are the House Committee on Pensions, Investments & Financial Services and the House Committee on State Affairs.
