These Retirees Are Goals
Can you imagine spending your retirement like these TCDRS retirees? With a little strategizing, you actually could!

“What do you want in retirement?”
That question can spark a whole range of emotions for people who are earlier in their careers.
Some of our younger members tell us they feel excited to have long and fulfilling careers so they can do anything they want in retirement. For others, the idea of working for so long can be wearying because they have many dreams and passions they want to pursue sooner than later.
However, the most common answer we get from our younger members is that thinking about retirement can feel a little overwhelming. It’s hard to plan for something that feels so far away.
It’s okay not to have everything figured out right now. What’s important is that you’re taking simple steps — like estimating your TCDRS retirement benefit or building up your personal savings — to ensure you have enough money in the future.
After you get those taken care of, thinking about retirement can be a lot of fun. Can you imagine spending your retirement like these TCDRS retirees?
