Updating Contact or Account Information
Every year (and after big life changes, such as the birth of a child or a divorce), it’s important to verify and update your TCDRS contact and beneficiary information to ensure we have your most current information on file.
You can update your contact information and beneficiaries when you sign into your online account.
Here are the most common questions about contact information and account updates:
Q) How do I add or change my beneficiary?
A) If your TCDRS account is open, you can add or update your beneficiaries anytime when you sign into your online account or by calling TCDRS Member Services at 800-823-7782. Simply scroll down to the “Beneficiary Summary” and click “View details” to get started.
If you are retired and want to change your beneficiaries, you can sign into your online account or call TCDRS Member Services at 800-823-7782. Depending on your benefit payment option, you may not be able to change your beneficiary after retirement.
Q) How can I update my address, name, phone number or email?
A) You can update your name, mailing address, email and phone number online when you sign into your account. Click the drop-down menu in the upper right corner and select “Personal Information”.
